Description
There are two ways to get to the top of Boot Hill Trail: climbing Red Rock Hill from the south, or doing an out-and-back from the main entrance to the east.
At the top, you won't miss the trail marker as people have left all sorts of boots piled up over time. I'm guessing that's how it got its name? The trail marker is probably 5-10 yards away from the entrance to
Knee Knocker trail.
As you start out, you'll ride down some lightly rutted areas that are heavily surrounded by shrubs. As you wind out of there, it opens up for a bit and gets slightly steeper, where you'll pick up speed. You'll continue winding down into the wooded area where there'll be more straightaways to blast through.
Finally, it'll spit you down into
Wayne's Trail where you can make a right and take it back up to the dirt parking lot at the entrance.
Keep in mind that Boot Hill Trail loops through the north and west end of the park. However, this section of Boot Hill is the only one that is worth riding if you're looking for a continuous and fun DH section.
