Family Friendly
This is a wider trail and has moderate elevation change. Much of it has a gravel base, although there are rocks and roots in sections.
Need to Know
Parking is available near both ends of the trail. The valet parking area has a lot of activity on weekends, please park at the southern end of this lot to avoid cars belonging to hotel guests.
Description
Trail begins at the southern end of the
North Trail and ends between the valet parking lot and the Equestrian Center. Beginning from the northern end of the trail, the trail travels up a slight incline to a trail intersection with Ski Area Section of South Trail.
Continue straight and head slightly downhill crossing two gravel service roads. Follow the trail to a wooden pedestrian bridge, can be ridden, but it's tight. Cross Delafield Road and follow the trail along the power line, then a quick, steep descent through a ravine.
Once you climb out of the ravine, there is a root section, then cross the power line again and into woods. Intersection with South Trail: Upper Section on the left, continue straight and follow the trail through the woods until the final descent to Shady Lane. Final descent is a bit rocky.
In the opposite direction, the trail begins with a short climb from Shady Lane, then heads across the hillside, then down into the ravine with a short, steep climb out. Follow across Delafield and back to
North Trail.
