Description
The ride starts at the Stiles Ford Trailhead. After crossing the dam, you'll make a short descent to your left and then follow the
Big Woods Trail clockwise. After several up and downs, you'll make a descent to the creek. Following the creek, you'll come to the
MLT Connector.
Taking the
MLT Connector will get you to the
Lakeside Loop. Again, following the
Lakeside Loop clockwise you'll go to 470 and turn around. Don't forget to make a quick detour along the
Beaver Loop to see one of nature's wonders up close.
The
Lakeside Loop offers view after view as you ride along some hand-built singletrack. Phelps Point dedicated to Mayor Jim Phelps and his initiation of the McDougal Lake Trail System offers a panoramic view along with a bench to rest if needed.
Once you finish the
Lakeside Loop again, take the
MLT Connector back to the
Big Woods Trail where you can finish your ride.
