The Lookout Trail can be ridden in both directions. You can access the trail from Colorow Trail East and from Ole' Roller. The trail rides along the edge of the mesa above VIX Ranch Park, at times getting close to the edge, so expect a bit of exposure but nothing too crazy, pretty typical New Castle riding. Unlike most other trails in New Castle, the Lookout Trail is pretty much flat and doesn't have many notable switchbacks.

The Lookout Trail, combined with Stairway to Heaven and Colorow Trail East makes for a nice lunch ride when you are pinched for time. It is also the best way to end any larger ride in the network.

This trail is on private property, so help us keep access to this beautiful trail but staying on the designated trail, and do not use unmarked, unapproved trails.
