Drops/Jumps
Description
Ledges 1 starts out with a rough switchback climb up to the first ledge. The first ledge is off a rock slab onto a wooden ramp and over a small wooden bridge and right back to climbing. Following the trail, you go up another switchback along a ridge (where, if you are lucky, you might see a grouse or pheasant ) to a right turn and the second ledge, two small drops most of the time the second is just jumped off.
After the ledge is a small double that can be gapped followed by two well-shaped turns that can help you hold speed for the next small hill. It is back to climbing for a bit with an exhausting root-filled climb to a quick rock to climb over followed by a short second root-filled climb. The climb mellows out as you reach the top of
Delight and the 1-2 Upper Connector.
Continue down to the trail with the L1 sign and the downhill fun begins. The trail has some steep ledges and sections when you can carry a lot of speed. Towards the end is a wooden drop about two feet tall followed quickly by a small jump. The rest of the trail consists of some small jumps that can easily be rolled over and the trail ends up only a few hundred feet up from where it started.
