Winter seasonal closure for this BLM land is December 1 through April 15.
One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.
Description
From the top of the
Dante's Peak climb, you'll see the endpoint where Further Out joins, don't enter here. Further Out is designed to ride clockwise.
Stay on
Dante's Peak and traverse towards
Dante's Flow and the start of Further Out. As you begin to descend
Dante's Flow, look for the Further Out entrance on your right. Further Out is like
Uncle Joey's big brother, so if
Uncle Joey's was a little too much for you, we don't suggest Further Out. If
Uncle Joey's painted a big smile on your face, buckle up and enjoy the ride on Further Out.
This trail is hand-built singletrack so expect narrow tread with some exposure in spots. There are several large sandstone rolls and drops, but all of the trail features have ride-arounds.
When you have completed Further Out, take a right on
Dante's Peak and descend back to Hub 2 on
Dante's Flow.
The suggested riding direction of Further Out is clockwise, as this provides a generally downhill experience and is signed as such.
You can ride it counter clockwise but expect a few punchy uphills that may require a dismount from all but the strongest climbers.
