A 13+ mile multi-use out-and-back that is commonly used by horseback riders to access Ramshorn Lake, and for those wanting to summit the Peak, can tack on an extra 1.5-2 hour hike after the pedal. Can be ridden as an out-and-back, or used as a connector to the north and a long fun downhill via Porcupine Creek.

The lake has some large cutthroats so for those anglers looking to break up the ride might have some luck. Also a word of caution on fly's/mosquitos depending on the time of year - so bring bug spray if plan to hang around.

Ride starts with a casual climb from the Buffalo Horn Trailhead alongside Buffalo Creek and maintains a welcoming grade for several miles across a few manmade bridges and into meadows of wildflowers and some medium density pine.

After about three miles, arrive at a marked intersection splitting you to the left to access Ramshorn Lake (or right to access Dailey Pass Trail).

At 5.5 miles, the grade gets steeper with wide switchbacks to help you out but can be loose and rutty at times; for many a few hike-a-bike sections to be expected until about the 6.1-mile mark. From there, it's coasting to Ramshorn Lake with several access points to take a swim or fish from the banks.
