Dogs Leashed
Need to Know
All Georgia Wildlife Management Areas require a hunting or fishing license to access the property. The Game Wardens do regularly patrol the area and will ask to see your license. Also during deer/turkey hunting season, it is advised to make sure you stay on the main loop.
Description
Starting at the trailhead and going clockwise, you'll ride up to a campground to your right. Continue on and you'll pass a gate. There will be some hills to go up and down but these are not that challenging if you're used to gravel hills. Soon, you'll be at the start of a nice long downhill section to the river with some potential for catching some air!
As you make your way down to the creeks and river, things get flat with a bunch of gravel in some of the sections. Since you are at the bottom of the loop, it's time to start making your way back up. There are a few hills that can make you winded but the hardest one has the most gravel up on it.
Once you climb and make your way down, you'll see pastures of open fields on your left. Unfortunately, this area is private land but you'll eventually make your way up to the Ranger Station which will be on your right. It gets kind of flat with a couple of hills but you can pick up speed here. There is one small final hill before you make it back to the trailhead.
