Description

Skeeboggan (also called Archery Range because of it's proximity to one) is one of the steepest and the most sustained trails in the Thompson Park region. It starts at the intersection with the Blacktail Loop and ends at MT Highway 2 at the entrance to the Archery Club. It is a favorite downhill trail of many riders, as it is fast and flowy in some sections and tight and slightly technical in others. The best way to ride it as a descent only, is to ascend via Blacktail Access and Loop then return via Highway 2 (Be careful of fast traffic). As an ascent it is a great training climb as there is few places to take a breather.

There is a small parking area near the bottom of the trail on the opposite side (West) of Highway 2. Please don't block the Archery Range Access Road.
