Need to Know

Ample parking is located at the trailhead. There is a port-a-potty located by the baseball field in the summer.

Description

As of 2021 the trail is minimally used. It's a bit rough and could benefit from some additional trail work as well as getting broken in with more riders. Signage is okay throughout the system but could use clarification when approaching some intersections. As posted on the trails, this is a multi-use trail as well as periodically crossing pedestrian only trails. It's rare to see others out in the woods but the trails do get used.

There are a small number of technical features along the loop. All of them are beginner level and have bypasses for those who do not wish to attempt them. Only a few small logs across the trail do not have a bypass. These are small enough to be traversed on children's bikes.

Reid Park is a small park tucked inside the City of Lake Elmo, located off 30th Street. This beginner-friendly, multi-purpose trail is being built to be appropriate for new riders. Currently, over two miles of multi-use and public trails have been completed within the wooded section of the park.

The trail work began in the spring of 2018 and is being continued by community volunteers as of 2021. Our volunteers are guided by experienced trail designers and builders. The trail will be maintained at no cost to the City of Lake Elmo. Maintenance sessions will be scheduled in late afternoons and weekends. See SascaTrails.com for more information and opportunities to get involved.

A bit leafy and hard to stay exactly on trail, could use a bit more signage, but overall a very fun not too difficult trail 3mi — 1h 00m
