Description
This directional trail is a great place to practice technical rock riding. It's short, yet packed with advanced features including rock gardens, rock rolls, and drops. There are multiple lines to take and a quick return so lapping it is both fun and simple.
Start at the south entrance to the trail and pedal up a short section of dirt to the first rock garden, which starts a continuous series of intermediate and advanced rock gardens and rideable features. There is a bit of pedaling in the first section and then gravity takes over. There are multiple lines in each rock garden, some harder than others.
The trail splits at a signed intersection. Bear right on Scrapper for a chunky and loose switchback (single black) or stay left for the "Cheap-Shot Drop," which clocks in at a hard black or a light double-black rock roll/drop that is slow and technical in nature. The drop rejoins Scrapper quickly, setting you up for the second major feature which also has two lines. Stay right on the second major feature for a short step-down off the edge of the boulder which rolls (light black), or set up to stay left, which is a rowdy technical section that you may want to scope prior to riding (hard black). Both lines connect a short distance below and then follow dirt to the intersection with Swoop's Loop. Go left to take another lap.
