Description

A slogging uphill fire road ride if going from north to south.

Going south to north is almost all down hill on a fairly wide fire road with multiple switchbacks. Watch your speed - there's a 15 mph speed limit and Mid-Pen rangers are known to track with speed radar guns.

Nice sweeping views on the downhill, or a connector to either Fremont Older, Stevens Creek, or the Stevens Canyon road up into the further hills.

Plenty of folks walk their dogs or take their kids up on this trail, so mind your blind turns (or use a bell). This is a very exposed trail and HOT in the summer, but spring wild flowers or autumn. Wildlife make it fun to ride when you get views of the bay, too.
