Need to Know

Limekiln is a key trail that connects the Brown County State Park Campgrounds to the Park Office / Fire Tower and leads to the Walnut Trail and Weedpatch. There is water on the north end of the trail, behind the small cabin (Hoosier's Nest).

Description

This section of Limekiln makes Limekiln a loop (Limekiln East and Limekiln West). The loop is directional, with the direction changing by the day of the week.

It is a very flowy beginner trail that does have some climbing and descending, and some optional features that make the trail fun for more advanced riders.

This trail was built by the Hoosier Mountain Bike Association and Spectrum Trail Solutions through an Indiana Next Level Trails Program Grant.

Great one-way improvement to the Lime Kiln trail - lots of flow riding counter clockwise (north) on a Sunday.
