The toughest parts of the route are sandy patches. The NJ sugar sand stops some people, but you can easily walk through

Overview

Oak Pond is a beautiful lake, but swimming is not allowed. The pond is stocked with fish, and fishing is allowed.

Need to Know

There is parking at both ends of the route.

Description

The trail is through the Pine Barrons, with its green canopy, bald eagles, wild turkeys, and hawks. There are many wildflowers, mosses, and native bushes.

The end of the ride is fun because you can stop and get an ice cream at Mr. Bill's.

You can also picnic along the route if you bring a blanket.
