Expect climbing and descending, foot and bicycle users. Do not cut switchbacks. Be aware of abrupt corners and areas of exposure. Stay within your abilities on this very steep descent.
Go Slow! Human powered travel only. Watch out for and yield appropriately to other users. DO NOT cut switchbacks. Observe all closures. Respect wildlife. Clean up after your pet and keep them on a leash.

Description
Spectacular views and very steep trail that connects the Royal Gorge Park trail system to Fremont Peak and down to
Tunnel Drive along the Arkansas River.
This is an ADVANCED trail that requires an advanced level of fitness and agility. Be Prepared for 1,800 feet of elevation gain/loss, loose rocks and dirt, significant exposure and a sustained steep grade.
This area is shared by recreation users, wildlife and hunters. Please respect all seasonal closures as part of a continued effort to manage multi-use public lands in Colorado. Closures are designed to support vulnerable bighorn sheep populations.
