Description
From Eric Weihenmayer, in his "No Barrier's" presentation: The word "Battl'r" is an Australian expression that means 'one who fights hard to get what they want.' Be sure to say it with an Australian accent.
This gem of a trail was built in 2022 by Singletrack Designs.
It is a downhill-directional trail and bikes only please.
Drop off the Spring Valley summit and stay left through some easy filters (rock roll and concrete skinnies), before pedaling up the gentle rise. Immediately, you'll be faced with several technical sections of rocks which will require precision in your line choice. Round a corner where an old bike is hanging and scout your next moves. The biggest line goes off a 3-foot drop into a berm. It rolls on the left side and can be bypassed on a trail to the right.
Continue down through through awesome stacked berms, over table-tops (optional), a gap jump over a small boulder, and through a technical section with three main lines (left is a drop; center is easiest; right rolls down a short spine). Pump through the meadow and then take fast berms and jumps into a second technical section. Right through the curve is the main line. Continue through more berms, more jumps and a fast exit comes all too soon.
At the bottom, go right for the trailhead (or another lap) and left to ride Swoop's Loop. One of the best trails in the CMC system.
This trail is on CMC property. Please respect all posted rules and ride at your own risk.
