Description
Watch Your Six was purposely built to consider the width, geometry, and unique handling characteristics of adaptive MTB equipment. It is the sister trail of
You Betcha offering a loop around the top of Huston Wyeth Park. It is a multi-use trail so be aware of the possibility of encountering pedestrians.
The trail begins at the parking lot with an amazing view of the Missouri River valley. In this open area, the trail surface is crushed limestone and becomes a natural surface trail as it enters the trees. It meanders through the trees before coming upon a large right hand berm. a brief stretch of straight trail leads to a pair of switchbacks. The trail continues downhill to a diving right hand berm and quickly comes to the intersection with the
Crushed Limestone Trail and
You Betcha.
From here, one can ride up
You Betcha to complete the upper loop of Huston Wyeth Park, or down
You Betcha to Highland Avenue or the MacArthur Drive parking lot. However, just before this intersection, Watch Your Six turns hard left to a series of bermed switchbacks that leads directly to the pedestrian bridge. This portion of the trail is not well suited for adaptive bikes due to the tight turn radii of the switchbacks.
