Dogs Leashed
Need to Know
Parking areas along the trail on Fulton. Restroom access about halfway in the trail near the Spreckels Lake. Lots more to see and do near the DeYoung Museum area at the end.
Description
From the beach side near the Archery area, ascend loose rock, dirt and mulch. Several minutes in it gets a bit steep and you'll see a side trails with small jumps.
Trail continues on a variety of singletrack and fire roads and passes by the dog park, disc park and ends on Fulton and Park Presidio Blvd near the Rose Garden.
There is a damp hidden forest like area called Heroes Grove just across the light. It looks like it's ok to ride through it and it ends right behind the De Young Museum. However, from the De Young Museum side it does say NO BICYCLES. I would recommend walking through as it's a nice experience. This part has been removed from the GPS points.
This trail runs both directions and there are small sections where you'll need to cross roads with vehicular traffic. The hidden forest area (Heroes Grove) near the end of the trail feels like a completely different place.
