The parking are is located off the highway and is accessed via gravel road. Parking is in the flats near the BLM kiosk.

Description

The Hot Lava loop is accessed off the main NICA Glenwood Raceloop. The trail includes a few switchback climbs before descents. The trail is a little rougher than the main NICA Raceloop but still flows well as it weaves through lava rock outcrops. The trail also includes a number of small rock jumps along the trail. While the trail can be ridden both directions, the trail flows better down hill by accessing the trail off the northern fork from the race loop.
