Need to Know

Parking is free and plentiful at the Pima-Dynamite Trailhead. The trail can also be accessed from the National Forest land on the north.

Description

Starting from the north end, the trail starts at the step-over gate into the National Forest land. The trail travels mostly downhill, with occasional short uphill sections all the way to the Pima-Dynamite trailhead. The trail surface is generally smooth, with occasional sandy bits that require a little care. Traffic on the trail is light.

The trail intersects numerous other preserve trails, so it could be part of any number of loops. In the southern third of the trail, it provides access to one of the technical bike trail areas (Scorpion, Snake Eyes).

The trail can be used as a short, straight, downhill escape to the Pima-Dynamite trailhead in the event of a bike mechanical failure.
