Need to Know

Portable bathrooms at trailhead. Trails are not marked. This is active hunting area when season is open; wear your orange.

Description

Parking is easy to find, free, and plentiful. First and last half-miles are packed gravel road. The remainder of the trail is flat, hard-packed sand (road), with some areas of slightly less-packed sand; be ready to feel the burn. The trails are not marked, so have the MTB Project app and state forest trail map ( agriculture.delaware.gov/fo…) cued up.

Most of this trail is in active hunting area (when season is open), so wear orange as hunters will position themselves right on the trail. The surrounding scenery (pine forest) is quiet and serene.
