Description

The Peoria map of the preserve is here. peoriaaz.gov/home/showpubli…

From east to west, the trail starts at the Sonoran Mountain Ranch Park. At the start of the trail is a concrete circle with benches to rest on and 2 or 3 different trails exiting the circle between benches. Choose wisely. There are no signs. (It's the left one.)

The route travels mostly west for 2 1/2 miles on wide road first downhill to the New River crossing and then uphill (all slopes very gentle). Eventually it comes out at the Paloma Community Park on the south side of the dog park, exiting through a gate. Again no trailhead signs.

The trail crosses or intersects many other trails and roads along the way, some official, some non-official. A map or GPS will be helpful in following the correct route.
