Description
The access to this trail is pretty simple, you can get on any car to the village of Misminay and there you are at the start of this trail.
This is a very scenic XC / Enduro ride that traverses the mountains of Sacred Valley and passes by the Inca sites of Moray and the salt mines of Maras. You'll cross different agricultural fields, follow ancient singletracks to finally reach the village of Maras where the steep and fast downhill starts.
The descent to the Sacred Valley is through an ancient Inca trail where every year a mass start race is held. On this trail you'll find big jumps but you have the option to take the chicken-way and avoid these big features.
You'll reach the salt mines, you'll notice them pretty quick. This place is stunning and breathtaking! To pass this point there is an entrance gate where you have to pay a fee that goes around 4 USD. Then the trail gets narrower and steeper until in reaches the bottom of the Sacred Valley.
This ride will take you around hour and a half to complete but if you want, it's possible to extend the ride in the upper part and also at the end riding through the valley.
