Overview

Brutal climb on Eagle and Wave Road followed by a technical descent on singletrack.

Need to Know

Adobe clay -- DO NOT ride when wet or likely to rain. You'll have to carry your bike out.

Description

Park at Eagle Valley Road lot. Climb until you see the junction for Sidewinder Trail of the left, before the road starts going downhill. Pedal north on Sidewinder to Wave Road. Take a right at Wave and begin the hardest part of the climb -- be sure to bring plenty of water.

At the top of Wave Road you'll get awesome views of the Black Canyon. This is when you know you are close! The entrance to Spikes is easy to miss so keep a lookout. Once you've reached it, you'll be rewarded with a sandy bermy descent with a few technical sections at the end and optional drops.

Pedal through the canyon (a little bit of uphill) to connect to Eagle Valley Trail. Eagle is loaded with fun b-lines and unique rock formations.
