Family Friendly With the exception of length, and the south end of Devious Mountain road (puddles), this route can be ridden by teenagers.

Overview

While this loop route follows much of the blue blaze trail, it avoids the pink Botana Trail blazes. This is a better ride than the orange-blazed Penn Branch Trail.

Need to Know

Best parking and outhouse at Carranza Memorial.

Description

Start at Carranza Memorial and head southeast down Carranza Road past Historic Friendship, and it's old building foundations. Continue on to the Alloway Monument, and the history of blueberries. Carranza Road turns into the Hawkins Bridge Road going over The Hawkin Bridge, and on to Washington Turn Pike. And on to Whorton's Washington.

From Washington, turn on to Wash Quaker Bridge Rd., and on to Mount, and Devious Mountain Rd. (some puddles). Continue on to Mount Jemima (Jemima means White Farm Duck, what the deforested hill looked like in the 19th century), and finally on to Mount Sandy Ridge Rd., and home.

so sandy in some spots I could barely walk, aired tires down to 18psi and was still sliding around, constantly swarmed by flies too, ride sucked
