Description

The Knot Hole (AKA The Teaser) is best ridden from where it intersects the Woodhaul doubletrack near the outlet of Cornell Ranch down to the fenceline. Near the beginning of the trail, watch out for an overhead water pipe that used to supply water to the old Fort Bayard from mountain springs.

After passing under the pipe, there will be a creek crossing and a straight section followed by another creek crossing. After the second creek crossing, the trail flows in and out of the trees with a generally downhill experience. Be on the look out for a stump that has a large hole going through it on the side of the trail, as it is this feature from which the trail is named. Eventually, the trail will end at a fenceline.
