Description

The Sierra Front Trail links the Ballardini Ranch Trailhead to the Thomas Creek Trail. It follows the east side of the Sierra range as it meets Washoe Valley. The trail provides great views looking out over Reno and is excellent in the afternoons in summer as it is shaded from the sun by the mountain above.

Often people start at the Ballardini Ranch end so that they do an out-and-back that ends with a downhill back to the car.
