SPI often closes their land in summer due to high fire danger. Observe signs and check spi-ind.com/ for latest restrictions.

Need to Know

Please do not park on Love Creek Roads or other thoroughfares. Please respect private property and access this land only through yellow and green gates.

Be prepared to traverse downed trees in winter months.

Description

This tract of timberland, owned by Sierra Pacific Industries, offers doubletrack fire road riding across over 800 acres between Avery and Arnold. With views of the central Sierra, the Love Creek drainage, and surrounding areas, it's great for an afternoon ride or walk.

There are MANY access points in Blue Lake Springs neighborhoods, and on Love Creek Road. Once in, there is a network of fire roads that lead to several spots in adjacent neighborhoods, as well as to Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
