Overview
Tail is about 40% doubletrack and 60% singletrack. mild rocks and roots. Combines the best part of
Toxic,
Rick's Revenge,
Jobu, Toco Stand and the trail along the lake.
Description
Start at the parking lot near the playground. Go south into the woods just past the last parking spot. Follow
Toxic for about 0.8 miles. There are a couple random trails that intersect along the way. Bear left every time to have a choice to stay on
Toxic.
Turn right on the service road for a couple hundred yards look for a trail to the left. That's
Rick's Revenge. It's flat doubletrack for about 1000 feet then turns sharp left onto the switchbacky singletrack. Pretty smooth for the most part but just enough roots and bumps to keep you on your toes.
At the end of Rick's continue west and downhill on
Nuclear for about a half mile. This section is wider than singletrack but not quite doubletrack. Follow the Upper Lake loop north to the dam. This section has some fun ditch crossings and a fair amount of roots to enjoy. Watch out for fishermen and walkers for this section.
From there take
Jobu east for half mile. This section is primarily a climb to make you payback for all the fun downhill. At the service road cross directly across and take
Taco Stand back towards the parking lot. Use the App to stay on track, there are a few options here. After a short climb the downhill fun really gets going. Several ditches, bumps and almost jumps make this section really fun. Turn left at the bridge, rejoin
Toxic and take it back to the parking lot.
