The access road is no joke- steep and rough. 4wd and some ground clearance is recommended.

Begins at the upper parking area. Could be ridden either way, but probably a bit easier counter-clockwise. Cross the road and follow the yellow blazes. Mostly old logging trails just off the top of Round Mountain.

Climbs are short, some rocky sections but nothing too difficult. After about 2 miles the trail loops back to round mountain road. Cross the road again for the other half of the loop. A short distance in you'll pass the junction with Chimney Loop.

Keep left and again follow the yellow blazes. There is a steeper section with a couple of switchbacks but again, nothing too difficult. A little later, Wheels Up trail drops off to the right. Continue past that and wind your way through the woods to arrive back at the parking area where you started.
