Overview

Several viewpoints of Mt Diablo and the surrounding cities along the Tassajara Ridge Trail highlight this loop. Going clockwise will give you longer more gradual downhill and shorter steeper climbs and end with some street riding to wrap up.

Need to Know

Parking at the high school is not allowed during school hours from mid August to early June.
Another parking location and restrooms are available at the dog park at the Tassajara Ridge Staging Area.

Description

Starting at Dougherty Valley High School turn left on Albion Rd, then at the corner of Albion and Ivy Hill Way hop on to Lower Hidden Valley Ridge Trail. You can either stay along the houses on Lower Hidden Valley Ridge Trail and make an easier climb to Tassajara Ridge Trail or make an extra climb up and past the water tower for a little bonus ride down to where the trails join.

Follow Tassajara Ridge Trail all the way to the Tassajara Ridge Staging Area, where you'll cross the street and take Rolling Hills Trail down to Bollinger Canyon Rd to take the street back up to the high school.
