Description
Youngs Canyon Trail is true backcountry-feeling trail. Often slightly overgrown, very tight, zero man made features, and challenging to access.
The trail is moderately technical with small rock sections, some roots, and how tight it is part way down. It is fun however if that style of trail is your cup of tea. There are small uphill punches along the way but primarily you are moving with gravity.
You end up on the other side of the stream than the road and you must cross the stream that feeds into Lemon Reservoir. It is a beautiful area to finish and be careful when crossing as it can be deeper and moving faster.
Logistically, Youngs Canyon can be challenging. It isn't easily loopable and is usually done as a two-car shuttle. You can either pedal or shuttle up
Missionary Ridge Road before dropping in and then will either get picked up somewhere near Lemon Reservoir or have to pedal the pavement a significant amount back to town and back all the way up to
Missionary Ridge.
