Fire In The Mountain is a fun and rowdy descent off of Burning Mountain. This is the longest and most challenging descent in New Castle hands down. The tread is hand built, narrow and exposed. If you are not comfortable with the Ward Peak Trail it is not recommended that you ride Fire In The Mountain.

This trail is only open to downhill biking so once you are on the trail you are committed. Fire In The Mountain is open to hikers in both directions so be on the lookout for foot traffic as you descend.

On this amazing trail, you'll encounter narrow, exposed singletrack, steep rock slabs, drops, rock ride overs with some smooth flowing singletrack in between. The views are next level so don't forget to stop occasionally and enjoy the view.
