One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.
Description
This trail is likely Lefthand Canyon's longest singletrack downhill trail (with a few slight grade reversals).
This trail starts almost to the top of Fireman Hill at the junction of
Road #286H. The trail starts off with some very moderate grade (with amazing views) with some very loose gravel turns. As you make your way down the trail, there are some moderately techy rocky sections and grippier dirt. Be ready to downshift because there are a couple of grade reversals thrown in. Around two thirds the way down the trail starts to get a bit steeper with tight switchbacks. The final bit of the trail rides out of the bottom of the gully with some moderate grade and baby head rocks thrown in for good measure.
Personally, I feel like this trail is a black trail with some slightly steeper sections, but nothing on the same level of difficulty as some of the steeper, higher commitment trails in the area. David Lee Roth is a rarity in it's length at Lefthand, but getting to the trailhead takes a bit more effort than most Lefthand trails.
