A nice loop to add a little extra distance when riding on the west side of Kanawha State Forest.

Description

Portercamp Trail begins and ends off of Flatlander, making a loop around a ridge line. It can be ridden in both directions, but is most commonly ridden counterclockwise. The trail is mostly smooth, packed dirt. At about 0.2 miles in, there is a short, but steep descent with several switch backs, which is the most technical section of the trail. The remainder of the trail works along the contours of the ridge, connecting back into Flatlander. Shortly before the end, Barred Owl trail forks to the right and drops down to Middle Fork Road.
