This trail starts at the edge of the field off Airport Runway and leads to a gravel road. It is a back country, gravity oriented trail that often used in the enduro races at Snowshoe. It starts off with a few turns in lush woods dodging trees, logs, and roots, then starts to open up into a couple rock gardens. There's a short, mild climb a third of the way down but with a few well timed pedal stokes you can make it through. After that, the trail trends downward rapidly with a steep shoot that ends with a 90 degree left turn. Multiple obstacles follow after the shoot but there's no mandatory air time. This will end at a gravel road that will lead back to the Snowshoe Drive. From there it's easy to take the road further down and hit Ruff and Tumble.

Snowshoe Resort has called this trail "Shadow" before, but all locals and riders refer to it as Linwood, as it used to continue down the mountain and empty out at the Linwood Community Library.
