Overview
This trail system has it all -- fun, natural, and built features (including massive wooden berms, log skinnies, wooden jumps, and rollers), punchy climbs, and flowy descents.
Description
You'll start off easy on the
Beginner Loop before moving onto Welcome to Brown's Creek, which has some punchy climbs. When you reach a junction with
Smokin', take a left out to the field. Follow this around the trees and through the meadow to just past the progressive drop area.
You'll then be on
Field Trail, which has a ton of fun rollers (watch out -- they'll launch you!) and jumps. It transitions into
Hwy 87 Loop when it hits the trees. After about 0.5 miles, you'll reach a junction with a trail map. Stay left to get on
Green's Outer Loop. After paralleling the road for a bit, you'll come to the junction with
Salamander -- this loop is optional and ends at the same place it starts, but it has a lot of fun features on it.
Green's Outer Loop continues to loop through the trees until a junction with an optional DH jump line (gaps!) called Crockagator. Staying right will keep you on
Green's Outer Loop; it eventually meets back up with the bottom of Crockagator. Continue on
Green's Outer Loop until you reach a junction with
Ben Brown's Thunder. This is another optional loop and you can cut it off if you're feeling tired -- but do it for Ben!
After
Ben Brown's Thunder, you'll have the option to do the Megaberm (not to be missed -- excellent photo opp!) which has a return trail. If you're finished lapping the berm, stay left and get back on Hwy 87. This will turn into
Wild West Trail, which has some additional punchy climbs and wooden berms.
Wild West Trail turns into Super Berm Trail next to the progressive drop line. Super Berm Trail has some wooden features that hug the hillside. You'll reach a junction with
Smokin' and
Welcome to BC; stay left (towards the drop and huge wooden wall ride) to stay on
Smokin'. This will eventually turn into
Cliff Loop, which eventually turns back into the
Beginner Loop and will return you to the parking area.
History & Background
They're constantly building trails and features at Brown's Creek and hope to extend it to 25 miles in a few years.
