Description

Descension is a fast, blue-rated progression jump line with tabletop jumps, gaps, rock jumps, and large sweeping berms. Most jumps have a green-rated alternate line, making the trail accessible to more riders.

While riders will descend the trail, it's actually named for the group of woodpeckers that reside in the area; a group of woodpeckers is called a "descension" or "descent" as, when they work a tree, they start at the top and move downwards. Many of the trees along the trail have been excavated by the woodpeckers, and occasionally you'll hear them at work.
