This mega ride combines all major trails on the Apache Wash and Desert Vista sides of Phoenix Sonoran Preserve.

Start at Apache Wash TH and head NW on Ocotillo. Do the clockwise lollipop and then head up Sidewinder. When you hit the intersection on the east end of Sidewinder, head south on Ridgeback, and go all the way to the top of the peak. Head back down Ocotillo to the main trailhead and embark on the Big U. When you finish Apache Wash loop section of Big U, head southeast on Sidewinder and add in Apache Vista. This concludes the northern end and is roughly 30 miles.

Take a breather, fuel up, stretch those legs, and get ready for the 20 or so miles on the southern end.

Head south to the Apache Wash entrance and go west on Sonoran Desert Drive. Cross the road and head south on Sonoran Desert Trail. Take this to Cactus Wren and go east, connecting with the outer portion of Great Horned Owl. Connect that with Valle Verde and take it north to Desert Tortoise. That will connect with Hawks Nest for a short bit until you head north on Dixie Mountain Loop. Do the full loop until you hit Valle Verde Trail again, at which point you'll head east/north on Dixie Mountain Bypass. This will connect to Sonoran Foothills, which you'll take north until you hit Skip Rimza Paseo. Skip Rimza is paved and you'll take that east back to the parking lot.
