Overview

This scenic route is broken onto three climbs and three descents. Starts with a climb along the spine of the ridgeback and finishes with a top to bottom flow bomb with all the good stuff in between!

Description

Enter Red Rocks from the east side parking lot near Rudy's. Turn left into the valley on the back side of the first ridgeback. Ride a little way south until you hit your first left. Quickly climb a few switchbacks to the spine of the ridgeback. Ride south until the ridgeback trail ends and you hit a junction. Take the trail left and continue climbing to the south. Ride this trail until you intersect with the road.

Climb the road to the first switchback. Take the trail to the left and ride through the valley. Climb some switchbacks to the top of the next ridgeback. The top might have 50ft of hike-a-bike. At the top take the trail right.

Begin to descend taking your next right and following singletrack until you reconnect with the road. Go down a short distance until the first switch back and continue north on the singletrack. Here you get your first flow descent. Rip to the bottom and turn left at the bottom. Take your first right and cross the valley.

At the next trail intersection turn left. Follow this trail and climb several switchbacks up to the top. Continue on singletrack on rolling trail and pass two intersections continuing straight on singletrack. Begin another great descent down to the bottom of the next valley. At the bottom turn left and begin to climb to the south. When you hit a junction stay right. Climb on singletrack up a gorgeous valley. At the top turn left then pass the immediate trail on your left and take the second one that looks less developed just past it. Climb an open valley until you hit a road below the water tank. Follow the road for 50 yards to the south of the water tank and get back on singletrack. Turn right when you intersect the next trail and continue climbing until you intersect with the Intemann Trail at the top. Go left and skit the top of the park.

When you come to an open space with a viewing bench continue on Intemann Trail to the right. Follow this and continue to skirt the top of the park. When you come to an intersection turn left and begin another fantastic descent. Follow the singletrack for some time. You end up in another valley when you hit the next intersection. Stay right. Climb up the valley to the top. At the top go left to the intersection with the Section 16 trail. Take the first left at the three-way junction and begin a descent. Continue until you hit a slight rocky climb. You'll hit in intersection back on a section of trail where you started you first descent. Turn left. Descend until you hit the road. This time stay on the road for the descent all the way to the third switch back. Return to the singletrack at the bend in the road and start the rock and roll flow all the way back to the bottom of the valley.
