Need to Know

There is a large parking lot at the trailhead adjacent to White Spar Campground. It serves other trails as well.

Description

This trail is one of the trails intended for uphill travel. However, downhill travel and hikers are also allowed.

The Green Bean trail climbs from Hub #1 to Hub #2. It is a smooth trail with lots of switchbacks to ease the climb, but it still is a fairly stiff climb, The trail is very professionally constructed with regular grade reversals to keep water from running down the trail and eroding it.

From Hub #2, the rider can continue up on Mr. Bean trail, or head down one of the downhill trails.

There has been controlled burning all over this area (still smoldering). Not real attractive for now, but should be beneficial to the Ponderosa forest 6mi
