Description

Twelve switchbacks down the lower region of Moscow Mountain near West Twin Road make up one of the region's only trails with man-made features such as drops, berms, and jumps. The most notable feature is a drop ~ 3 feet in height off of a slab-like rock about halfway down the trail. Balsam Route ends at an intersection with West Twin Road near Moscow, Idaho. The trail is best done from Mild Dog, but can also be used in the uphill direction, but be warned, most people riding down the trail do not expect those riding it as a climb, and often ride at very high speeds between the switchbacks.
