Overview

Ride the famous Pinecone trail in this beautiful loop! Climb up a series of trails and then descend the famous Pinecone trail!

Description

This Pinecone loop features a variety of trails and may be a little different than how the majority of riders will ride Pinecone. Most riders will ride up Armstrong and Pinecone, only to turn around and descend Pinecone. This loop, however, uses some alternate trails to get you up to the Wasatch Crest so that descending Pinecone is a fresh experience.

Ride up King Road, Tommy's Two Step, Keystone, Shadow Lake Trail, Blazing Saddle, and Puke Hill. This will get you to the top of Pinecone and is roughly a 2,500 foot climb. The route is straight forward despite involving a lot of trails.

Once at the top of Pinecone, enjoy the view of the Central Wasatch! Take Pinecone down. This downhill seems to last forever and is truly one of the fastest downhills in the area. I don't think there is a more fun blue trail around! Pinecone will take you down to mid mountain.

This loop takes Mid Mountain over to Moosehouse for a technical finish. You could easily head down Seldom Seen, Jenni's Trail, John's Trail, or a few others if Moosehouse isn't your style. So many choices in Park City!
