The Grassy Mountain Trail begins at the northern end of the Bangtail Divide Trail on Brackett Creek Road.

The trail ascends a handful of switchbacks on a moderate climb with various viewpoints of the Bridgers. At the top, you'll reach a meadow where the trail flattens out. The high point of this open meadow is the common turn around spot.

The descent is a fun one with good dirt. There are a handful of off camber sections that can be a challenge, but overall this is a very approachable decent.
