Description

This trail can either be climbed from the bottom accessed from the South Cottonwood Creek Trail, or shuttled from the top via Langhor Toole Road. To access from below, follow the South Cottonwood trail 2.1 miles until you reach a river crossing on your left. There are large stones placed across the river to allow for a dry crossing.

The upper part of this trail descends through a forested area with a handful of well built switchbacks, before popping out in a meadow system with great views. From there, the trail gets steeper and a bit rougher, with a high speed exposed bench cut section that may feel intimidating to some. The lower portion of the trail switchbacks through a meadow before popping you out at the creek.

Climbing this trail can be a bit steep in places and may require pushing once or twice.

Langhor Divide was restored in 2023 by the USFS, MCC, and SWMMBA.
