Overview
If you're up for a long day in the saddle and over 26 miles of great singletrack, give this lollipop a lick.
Description
Park on the Tally Lake Road 913 right across from the
Reid Divide Trail #800 sign just South of the Tally Lake campground.f
**This recommended route climbs UP the 2,000 vertical downhill in only 2.5 miles but understand there are alternate routes via roads to lessen that tough start:
1. You can ride north on the Tally Lake Rd until it runs into Star Meadows Rd. Go left on Star Meadows Rd until you take a left on FS Rd 313 and then a quick left on FS Rd 2912. Ride up 2912 until you see the Tally Gorge Trail #294 off to your left. Climb this to the top of Reid Divide. It is a longer route but much easier climb.
2. You can also ride South, back the way you came, on Tally Lake Rd for 4 miles until you reach a junction where you'll take a right on FS Rd 542. Ride this for 3 miles until another right on FS Rd 2942 and ride this all the way to the top of Reid Divide. You can then descend
Bill Creek and do the lollipop and ride the ridge back to your car or you can just ride the ridge back to your car.
If you do climb Reid Divide right out of your car, good for you. You'll be warmed up and it's pretty simple from here. When you reach the top, ride Reid Divide South until you cross FS Rd 2942 and bomb down
Bill Creek.
The end of
Bill Creek will spill you out onto FS Rd 313 which you could ride back to your car if you drove to FS Rd 2912 or complete the lollipop by taking a left on FS Rd 313 and then an immediate left up FS Rd 2942 to the Reid Divide /
Bill Creek junction at the top. Ride Reid Divide back North and finish with that screaming 2.5 miles, 2000 vertical drop back to your car.
