Description
The
Cedar Dust Skills Zone can be easily accessed via a short pedal from either the North or South Side of Galbraith. If you're coming in from the North Side, the best way to access the Skills Zone is to go up
Ridge Trail to
Miranda then
Cedar Dust and at the first trail split on
Cedar Dust you'll take a right and follow the signs to the Skills Zone. If you're coming in from the South Side parking lot, the easiest way to get there is to take
Pipeline Road (Road 1000) all the way to the junction with
Road 1200 and then go right. After a short climb, at your first intersection, take a left and follow signs to the Skills Zone.
The
Cedar Dust Easy Jump Line and
Cedar Dust Intermediate Jump Line are great for beginner to intermediate level riders. Both trails have all table jumps which mean riders can either ride over them or use them to practice jumping.
Cedar Dust Advanced Jump Line and
Cedar Dust Pro Jump Line feature large to very large gap jumps with no ride-arounds and should only be ridden by advanced cyclists comfortable with being in the air over large gaps.
Most recently, Shire Built has added 3 more trails to the area. They have added a green, blue, and black difficulty level "feature" trails comprised of drops, wooden moves, and skinnies. They are all excellently marked and riders should look at the trail features before attempting to ride them.
