Need to Know

Toll Canyon Trail connects the Continental Divide Trail (CDT) with Fish Creek Road and Hwy 2. There is plenty of parking around Fish Creek Rd, although most people may choose to start their ride at Homestake Pass Trailhead of the CDT.

Description

Toll Canyon is a suitable trail to ride in both directions, however it is especially fun to ride downhill. Unfortunately it doesn't get a lot of attention due to the fact that it ends at the road, and although the trail is fun, most people stick to the CDT trail because it's seen as even more fun. The upper half of the trail is smooth and fast with many switchbacks. The lower half of the trail is straighter, steeper, more technical, and more prone to large rain ruts. The final section of the trail is doubletrack.

Two main ways to ride this trail that aren't an out and back:

- A loop starting at Homestake Pass up the CDT, down Toll Canyon, then up Hwy 2 back to Homestake.

- Toll Canyon Lollipop Loop with Fish Creek. Starting at Homestake Pass ride up the CDT, down Fish Creek, up Toll Canyon, then back down the CDT.
