Description

There are several double black diamond descents off of the Alpine Trail #7 and this might be one of the most fun and challenging of them all. Get ready for some serious rock gardens and technical riding with some exposure thrown in.

At the bottom, after you're through the rock tech and it opens up a bit, there is a "shortcut" to the left that takes you STRAIGHT down the side of the mountain cutting off some switchbacks. It's up to you but if you take it, get ready to wear out some brake pads and skid for about 1/2 mile. Obviously, I stayed on the main trail and enjoyed the fast, open riding after all the white knuckle tech I just completed.
