Description

Headwaters Trail, managed by the Land Trust of the Treasure Valley, offers an adventurous experience more suited for hikers than bikers in its current condition (as of August 2024). This route, once a fire road, has been converted into a loop with sections that are overgrown, requiring some serious bushwhacking through thick foliage. While there are some fun, flowy parts when descending from Ridge Road, the trail's sandy base can make climbing a challenge, especially for mountain bikers.

Though it holds potential, the trail would benefit from some maintenance to clear the overgrowth and improve the riding experience. For now, it's a one-time adventure for bikers looking to explore something new, but hikers will likely find it more enjoyable.
